MEMORANDUM
SUB: Incorporation of Indian Standards in Procurement Policy of the Govt. of West Bengal
With a view to encourage manufacturers in the State to obtain BIS Certification and to ensure sustained supply of quality products, and in pursuance of the decision taken at the State Level Committee (SLC) meeting held on 27/02/2025 under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, West Bengal, it has been decided that all Departments and related entities of the State shall, wherever applicable, procure/ purchase products bearing the ISI mark.
Any deviation from Indian Standards or inclusion of additional parameters must be justified with specific reasons and are to be recorded in writing by the Tender Inviting Authorities.
This order takes immediate effect.
